Marcus Aurelius, 161-180. Dupondius (Bronze, 26 mm, 15.48 g, 11 h), Rome, 174-175. M ANTONINVS AVG GERM SARMATICVS Radiate head of Marcus Aurelius to right. Rev. TR P XXIX IMP VIII COS III / S - C Annona standing front, head to left, holding grain ears in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; at feet to left, modius containing grain ears and poppy. BMC 1515 note. Cohen 922. RIC 1156. An exceptional piece, sharply struck with a fine portrait and a magnificent glossy light green patina. Good extremely fine.
